  It is no wonder the national statistics for suicide in this country are still on the rise when you see someone like dr Connor and think "this is the man we go to for help??" this guy can't see past his own ego to treat anyone for anything. I wouldn't let him treat my pet dogs!! Disgraceful should b ashamed....

  This centre has everything you could need available on site, which comes in handy. The staff are friendly and getting in for an appointment is easy and the availability of my doctor has been great, I've never had to worry about not getting an appointment as when it's been required - even at the last minute. The centre itself is clean, and I've found wait times to be reasonable.

  I started using this practice only a few months ago after the birth of my son. I highly recommend them. I have had a few appointments now and been treated promptly and very professionally. I have used other surgerys but find this to be the best. I feel my family are in good hands.

  I saw Dr. Surendran, who is retired but works Mondays. What a lovely man, very kind and understanding. He takes his time and has a very personable and professional approach.

  My daughter and I saw an older Indian Doctor (can't remember his name but he was retired/working a couple of shifts per week) and he was excellent. We also got her immunisations here and the nurse was lovely. Have no complaints at all.

  As a former (as in not current!) employee of this practice I can safely say that every review bar this one has been left by patients of the surgery, not its staff. Some people don't like the fact that it is a private billing practice but if that is an issue for you there are plenty of bulk billing centres in Perth. You get what you pay for and the Doctors and staff here provide an excellent service. Quite frankly i do recommend people I know to go to Maylands for their medical care and it's not based on bias - I don't recommend other places I have worked for.

  Appalling experience.
  
  Would give zero stars if I could.
  
  Absolute disgrace that a community with the diverse demographics and socio-economic issues such as Maylands does not have a universal bulk billing medical service.
  
  Yes, this practice has a free bulk billing 'clinic'...unfortunately, it is staffed by rotating GPs drawn from outside the practice itself, therefore things such as ongoing mental health care plans for the treatment of things such as anxiety and depression etc cannot be done.
  
  The lovely doctor i initially saw at the free clinic understood my predicament as I am currently a concession card holder (due to ongoing battle with depression/anxiety), and was good enough to get me into see one of the practices resident doctors with my appointment to be bulk billed. A couple of hours later I attended the centre again, and after a 40 minute wait past my scheduled appointment time I was ushered into the room of a short Indian female Indian doctor (- I won't name her, but others in this review section have). The first thing she said to me was 'I was lucky to get in as she doesn't normally see patients like me'. Unsure who she normally sees? Non human patients perhaps? She then castigated me for not knowing the exact the date of my last mental health care plan being drawn up at my previous GP, telling me I needed that information when I walked in and was 'wasting her time'. It was obvious I had come to the wrong doctor at this point, and would not receive the support I required, so I stood up, told her as such and walked out of the building.
  
  Desperately frustrating situation for someone with depression and anxiety to finally reach out for help and be met with an experience like that.
  
  The Maylands community deserves better than this.

  Booked an appointment at 11am, my baby was sick and they keep me waiting for seriously 2 hrs. And minimum 1 hr is normal wait whenever i come.I mean who does that , worst experience. I am not going there ever

  Dr James Warr is the best doctor !!- he will tell you the truth witch as a patient is what you need to hear .. i would recommend him to anyone

  I write this review SOLELY about "Doctor" Warr. And that's exactly what it felt like when i dealt with him too. a WAR. Not only is his bed side manner non-existent, but he had the audacity to charge me a double appointment ?!? $110 for what? a 25 min "consult" that left me in tears. Yeah no thanks NEVER again. And it pains me to write this review because my usual doctor - Dr Gov. is wonderful! She actually smiles and takes the time to ask the right questions to get to the bottom of whats causing the issue. But Dr Warr literally told to "Purchase a book about good back posture and just keep taking nurofen". This is after he told me off for seeing "multiple doctors". When I WOULD have seen Dr Gov. but she was away for 2 weeks, WTF am I supposed to do? Ughh that man angers me. Banged on about the Brittish medical system and how amazing it is, THEN GO BACK!

  Dr James Warr is too good. Very précised and to the point. He is the only Dr who is able to see my Dr without making her cry. Thanks Dr Warr.
