The parma ordered came with the cheese topping all separated and stuck to the top of the takeaway lid. Asides from that ruining the look of the ordered meal, the taste was good. The price still seems steep for the end result I experienced. That's why an overall average experience.
Worse than 1 Star.
The pizzas arrived cold and the topping was uncooked. The order was also incorrect.
My husband drove back to the restaurant hoping to have the food remade. The owner swore at him and called my husband a c***. The owner threw the pizza in the bin and told my husband to get out.
We have not been given a refund either.
It should also be noted the staff were not wearing face masks.
As an edit to the response from the ‘owner’ below.
My responses seem to get longer and longer for a reason. We are appalled by the experience. The entire story is this:
We ordered on Uber eats from ‘Pizza Eataliano’ NOT from Mamma Teresa’s. We ordered a ‘Vegan Lovers’ which should have had vegan meat toppings and vegan cheese on it and a ‘Due’ which was a roasted vegetable pizza.
We received a Pizza covered in chopped up unrecognisable raw vegetables with no cheese and no vegan meats as described.
The roasted vegetable pizza was not as bad but it had stone cold roasted vegetables on it which the topping fell off when you began eating it. Also neither pizza was properly cut.
We tried calling ‘Pizza Eataliano’ but there is no phone number listed on Uber eats. We tried googling the name on google and also no business name could be searched. My husband then jumped in the car and followed the address on Uber Eats and was confused when he arrived at Mamma Teresa’s. He went in and asked if they were also ‘Pizza Eataliano’. (If not the owner) the people working denied this but after a bit of back and forth admitted they were. My husband showed them the pizzas and asked for them to be remade. The staff (which was not the owner apparently) starting screaming ‘we make the best pizza, everybody loves our pizzas’ to which my husband replied ‘no, you do not. If we had known ‘Pizza Eataliano’ was Mamma Teresa’s we would have never ordered it.’
This staff member then threw the pizzas in the bin and called my husband a ‘smart arse c***’, get the f*** out and never come back’
Each and every staff member working was NOT wearing a face mask. My husband wishes he took photos!!
That there is the complete truth. I have had another similar experience years ago and vouched to never order from Mamma Teresa’s again. Then you have gone ahead and created a fake restaurant on Uber Eats to hoodwink customers thinking its a vegan friendly pizza place. HA! Couldn’t be further from the truth.
You have not left your phone number on Uber Eats or if you did I cannot see this anywhere. Each review I have left is true, and yes not a copy and paste of the last. I just told it how it happened.
To be honest after the treatment received I do not want anything to do with you or your establishment - I fear speaking to you on the phone will be met with more hostility and abuse. It seems you like to take out your anger on your paying customers. This is YOUR problem to fix, not ours.
We went to another Pizza place after you refused to fix your error and they happily made my us what we actually ordered, even offering us a drink after seeing how upset we were.
I should also say we are not vegan but thought we were supporting a cool local business doing good things, instead of a tired old business scamming its customers.
Food is great! Loved the pizza, pasta and the deep fried Brie entre, so good!
Tasty pizzas with plenty of topping! Never fails to satisfy my pizza cravings! Have tried many other pizza shops in the area and none are as good as this place in my opinion. Also reasonably priced, especially when buying a meal deal. Great value for money!
Apologises for the sort of blurry pic. Anyways the veal parma that was delivered was not soft and I had to chew it down a lot. Veal is supposed to be soft and tender but this wasn't it. The vegetables were just steamed though there was good variety in it. Anyways their pizzas are always their strong suit. I may order only the pizzas now from here. I will edit my review next time after I reorder.
Most of the reviews on here were very good which is why I decided to try them out.
Maybe they had an off night?
The crust on all of our pizzas was very soft and felt a bit uncooked. Maybe it'll come up better tomorrow when I reheat in the oven!
The mushroom pizza had very little cheese as well.
They have deals on each night of the week, so Thursday night is steak night. Porterhouse steak was delicious, came with chips and salad. Only thing is that there is no air conditioning or anything. It's a nice place for large delicious meal, it's not about fine dining.
I ended up ending here as my original pizza place wasn't opened. I had two large pizzas here. They're better than your chain pizza stores but nothing too spectacular unfortunately. The large chips were really large. Great serving size.
Had planned to eat at the place across the road but followed our noses and were not disappointed. Steak was cooked to perfection and the garlic prawns topped it off. Great value for money with friendly attentive service deserves 5☆s!
I like this place, it's the only decent pizza shop in Williamstown, Altona North and Newport.
Their specials is what has me coming back all the time. $6 for a pizza on a Monday or Wednesday, what's to complain about.
Pasta's are the highlight of this place. Lots of different options to choose from. Despite being an Italian restaurant, they make a solid souvlaki plate. Been going here for years and the food is always up to a high standard
Visiting Melbourne, Williamstown area and thought I'd have a nice Italian pizza. Well apart from the rude call to order my pizza the fun only just started.
I arrived when the pizzas were still cooking, the look on all their faces showed me something wasn't right. Well my wood fired pizzas were coming from the other conventional oven. When asked why these were not the wood fired pizzas like I ordered, was told the oven was not ready, yet pizzas were in the oven !!!
So it would seem delivery and phone orders are not placed in the "wood" fired oven. All I got was give them back and you can have your money back.
So the pizzas, the casalinga no1 and chicken cacciatore were average at best, I'd swear i have had better dominos pizzas before. I'm little annoyed, being Italian, they are calling these quality pizzas.
Now, wish I had asked for my money back. Service and manners are well below what you would expect from a local surburbian restaurant. Avoid.
Paid 30$ for a premium steak that came with only salad, not even fries!
The steak wasn't even medium rare as asked for! I've never heard of steak at 30$ not coming with fries and salad/vegies.
Thumbs down for me
Great pizza. Great pick up deals for Mondays and Wednesdays.
Always a substantial and delicious meal at a very reasonable price. Lobster appears as a special occasionally and Thursday is steak night. Pizzas first class. Decor very spartan.
Pizzas are absolutely incredible. Pastas are just as good. Quoted delivery time sucks though. Some nights it's 40-50 mins arrives in 20 mins while you're in the shower. Or its 40-45 mins and arrives after 75 mins. The only thing stopping 5 stars.
Stuffed up the order on menu log (which ended up being my own fault), driver came back gave me a free pizza no harm done. Really nice and generous of them. Thanks heaps
i thought nearly $16 for fish & chips was steep, but BOY was i wrong. these motherfuckers gave me THREE pieces of fish and enough chips to KILL A MAN if dropped on his head from a substantial enough height. not to mention it all arrived 40 MINUTES EARLIER THAN EXPECTED, how metal is THAT? my only issue is that now i'll be eating reheated fish & chips for days. please AVENGE ME if i die of salmonella. 43/17 would sacrifice an hour of my life to the capitalist wage slavery machine again for another meal like this.
