Back in March 2010 a BBQ held between 5 local golfers and their wives conceived a plan to resurrect the driving range that existing in the 1980's on land owned by the Mackay Golf Club with the vision of having a facility that the public of Mackay could be proud of. Our aim was to cater for all forms of golfers from those who want a quality practice facility so they can improve their game to the occassional 'hacker' who just wants to come along and have a bit of fun relieving a bit of frustration after a hard day at work.

Following many months of hard work, sweat and tears by the five families and numerous favours called in, the result is now a modern day/night facility boasting 16 quality covered driving bays with a further 30 turf bays along with a practice bunker. The facility is open 7 days per week and our hope is to foster golf in the local region by the availability of PGA qualified coaches including well known local Mackay Golf Club professional Jeffrey Reid being available to provide lessons on any level. Golf equipment can be hired if necessary.

Our kiosk offers food and drinks including quality coffee and also has a range of golf equipment for sale.

Our motto of "Golf IS meant to be fun" captures the spirit we want the driving range to be run with and the attitude we expect from our team.
