Jan was easy to deal with and kept me up-to-date with the delivery time. Wood was dry and burns well.
Proactive service - Jan did her best to deliver when we were at home . Dry wood - burns pretty well. It’s not redgum quality but it’s not a redgum price either. Pretty good value for money.
We called up specifically asking if they had dry wood ready to burn as we already had a pile of wet wood waiting to cure. Over the phone we were told they have been testing it "below 12%".
After the drop off we quickly realised this was a lie. Over half of what we got is reading 30-50% moisture, some of it is actually rotten.
Extremely disappointing. Not just the fact that it's unusable, but the lies about it being dry as well. If your wood is wet, say so and sell it cheaper, people can buy it for the next season and get dry from somewhere else.
Definitely won't be using them again.
Wow.. The price makes sense now. You get maybe 1% of the wood from the pictures. Most of it is green (don't even think it's gum or box, not sure what wood it is)
Now for the customer service aspect: everything sounded great over the phone. First they got lost. Once they did finally arrive they attempted a 64 point turn to back the truck in. After which the woman exited the cab and proceeded to have a mental breakdown. Whilst explaining to me that they are too busy today, in a rush and have no time to chit chat because of the stress..
The part that actually got me the most was after the breakdown the woman told me they require payment first before dumping the load. This was the first time I was made aware of that fact.
Overall extremely poor, disrespectful and unsettling experience.
Don't waste your money. Just like the other reviews have said, the wood is wet and three weeks later having tried drying it, it's still damp and doesn't burn. We even have mildew growing on it. Our wood was covered in thick mud when it arrived and we had to wade through about 20 centimetres of mud to get to many of the pieces. Some pieces were too big to even use. I could go on but this has been a complete waste of money. Before the wood was unloaded, we had to pay the money up front, cash only, no change and then when we saw the wood being unloaded, we knew we had been ripped off.
