Slow service. "We're totally booked out" even though most tables were empty. Breakfast was ok. Coffee was good after a long delay.

The Merrick's General Store has a really warm and inviting vibe to it. Although it was completely full when I went, you don't feel crammed in like cattle. There's plenty of space around each table and plenty going on. The food is extremely good. The wine is also good, but considering its location on the peninsula, I would have hoped that they had a few more options on their wine list.

Lovely ambience, coupled with fabulous food, drink and service. Wherever you are, a trip to Merricks General Store is worth it! Enjoy the open fire in Winter and one of the best meals made from fresh produce. Enjoy!

I love the atmosphere at Merricks General Store & it doesn't matter what season it isin winter you can sit by the fire or in summer you can sit out on the deck. Their coffee is excellent & the food outstanding. The service is always good too - very friendly, attentive & helpful. You can also do a wine tasting at the cellar door, or take home gorgeous local produce. AND they now have a "coffee window" if you need a takeaway early in the morning! Got it all covered - definitely worth a stop next time you're visiting the Mornington Peninsula.

Great setup with a good range of wines to taste, knowledgable staff, good food and coffee and range of seating to suite your mood. Can get very busy.

Best coffee in the area but not the best service. Easily forgiven with the high quality of food, wine and atmosphere. Make sure you get a fresh plain croissant with your coffee.

A complete surprise arrived whilst the kitchen proper was closed between service but still had options from their display case One of the best Bacon and Egg rolls I have had in quite a while and Coffee was quality.

Walked in went to sit down no signs on tables reserved and got told that they were fully booked, staff were not accommodating at all I end up asking just please tell us what table is available so we can sit down. Sat down at 11.40am got given lunch menu ordered some coffee and a bowl of chips, staff come back and told us that they can't cook the chips until 12pm - so ridiculous!! Won't be back in a hurry it's a shame be it's a nice place!
