if you find yourself in camperdown vic, do yourself a favour and visit the lake edge café, on lake Purrumbete. it will be a delightful experience. the view is to die for, and the food is as well.
We stayed in Hose's Cottage, the middle of three delightfully renovated farmhouses on a beef cattle farm on the Western bank of Lake Purrumbete. All we neede to bring was food and drink, because linen and towells were provided. It was only a 50 metre walk down to Hose's Rocks, the choice fishing spot on the lake. Comfortable rooms, a fully equipped kitchen and flat screen TV with DVD was all we needed. The outdoor BBQ area was great for those twilight cookups, and our host Lois was really helpful with local contacts and reccomendations.
