Had dinner at Kuro Bar & Dining today. This place was recommended by a good friend who also just been to Sydney recently. Got to thank him for the great recommendation. The food is extremely great not just in taste but also the presentation.
Had a 6 course menu and add on of King Prawn Tempura Crepe plus an after dinner cocktail, Yuzucello.
    What an enjoyable evening.

Tho the food was great, my biggest surprise at this place is the shaved ice. Very well made, exceeded my expectations.

Overall quality of the food, especially the raw ingredients was quite nice. Which is important since this place offers many of them.

If you’re looking for a generic Japanese dinner, go for the set menu. Nice and easy.

Late review, but was here for an anniversary dinner with my partner a while back - the set menu was amazing, the timing of the courses was paced well, and the staff were professional and lovely. We sat at the counter and were able to watch the chefs at work which was great. Everything was delicious from start to finish, the restaurant decor was warm and inviting, and the atmosphere was great.

We had the shorter set menu, but next time we might opt for the longer set menu, just to pack even more delicious food in.

I was so impressed by their foods and customer service. It’s such well balanced, delicate flavours and fragrance, also nicely presented. It’s the first time I thought that the Japanese comics about heavenly gourmet were actually based on real experience! And I’m going to visit it again shortly, this time taking my parents to enjoy it.

We had the $90 set menu. That kingfish in my photos was amazing. And the duck breast main, so good. Also the prawn tempura. 5 thumbs.

Had a great experience dining in, the waiters/waitresses were very welcoming and ensured our glasses were always refilled.

I went as a group of six and we ended up choosing the $85pp set menu, we added an additional six oysters. From the menu I absolutely loved the:

    - soba noodles: not only were they flavourful they were also very filling! I would say this was my favourite of the dishes

    - aged duck breast and the Wagyu: were both pretty good mains, the meat was tender and juicy

    - desert: was a souffle cheesecake with Mango, orange and cardamom ice cream, it was both refreshing and sweet (not overwhelmingly sweet, it had a great balance of tangy and sweet flavours)
