The food here is great, but be prepared to pay for it. You get service as expected for a pricey joint. We went here for our wedding anniversary and had a good time.

The quality of the food is definitely high and all very delicious. Highly recommend their unajyu! Staff are well mannered and friendly. Been here twice and will go back in the future.

We went there for my boyfriend's birthday and were surprised by the quality of the food as well as the kindness of the staff. We were lucky enough to get our private Japanese room with no booking and felt transported to Japan. I'd definitely recommend that place to anyone willing to experience a traditional Japanese diner.

i would not recommend this place. i dont think we come back here again, never. our last dinner in melbourne turned to unhappy evening.

food - expensive but not taste as it supposed to be, such as using too much vinegar to sushi rice etc. tea - some other clitics mentioned too but green tea was taste like a hot water (not using enough tea leaf probably), but charge 3 dollars per person. but these negative points could be wiped away IF waiting staffs were nice and friendly unfortunately, we were very unhappy with the attitude of waiting staffs, this point was the worst negative point tonight. they were not friendly, good manner, ignore our inquiries, as seems they're super busy with their tasks and no time to take care our needs with warm hospitality.

I've been going to Kenzan for 25 years. Always authentic, always top quality food, excellent service. Still a favourite after many other local restaurants have been & gone.

The food is always fresh and beautifully presented. Sushi bar is outstanding. The staff are well trained courteous and attentive. I've been many times. The experience is always positive.
