Amazing national park, but wilpena pound resort shouldn't be here, it's a sacred place. That's broke my heart to see how money can lead the management of such a beauty didn't spend much time at the visitor center, found it Useless.. and what to say about booking your campground online such a shame !! Specially if you travel following the flow and just want to see where you gonna sleep before paying..

It is just amazing! We drove all the way from Melbourne just to visit this park. I can say without any doubt, it was worth it. I'd definitely fall short of words if I had to describe the over 500 Million years old ranges. Just visit and experience for yourself! You won't be disappointed.
Just beware of wildlife crossing the roads all over and make sure your fuel tank is sufficiently full, since gas stations are not that frequent in the region. The small towns are dead by sunset!!

Majestic and refreshing way to spend a few days. Avoid super hot days as most trails and walks are difficult and you need water to stay hydrated.

I stayed in a powered camp site. Shower block near me was fantastic! Staff members, especially my tour guide Mick were great. Would have given a 5 if the restaurant had of got my dinner right.
