Oh how I wished that I had seen this review earlier! This cottage is of a very poor standard. As per the other review, the setting is wonderful. The cottage from the outside is lovely and you would think this is going to be a 4 star accommodation. Alas, upon opening the door, it turned out to be a 2 star interior.
The positives: location and it is now clean, no bugs!
However, if you are Australian and remember the holiday shacks of old where our parents would take 'anything' not wanted to fill up the shacks with furniture and old kitchen cupboards no one wanted for a kitchen? Well welcome to a time warp. The bathroom is deplorable. Don't expect any 'niceties' like a box of tissues; this is basic, basic accommodation. If we had paid $100 - $120 wellbut at $180 a night I'm really upset! Unfortunately we had paid for two nights.
By the way, we stayed the next night in the 'loft'. . The loft is slightly better. Fantastic views of the vineyards through floor to ceiling windows. Great. Again the shack interior, but at least we had a separate bedroom. By the way neither premise has a wardrobe, just a cheap hanging rack. TV’s in both places were small and old, no remote for the HD in the loft. They use a shower curtain in the loft which was very thin, cheap and had a hole in it! Oh, and it stuck to you whilst showering and you had the exhaust fan on. One small bar of soap supplied.
Avoid this accommodation. It is cheaply furnished and cheaply fitted out and you pay a premium!! Never again.
If the owners would employ a interior designer/decorator they would have a fantastic place, but it is aimed at the cheaper end of the market and is overpriced.
