Says they are open on a saturdays. Walked 20 minutes there and they were closed. Utterly disappointed.

If I could give no stars I would. We went here for tea the other night after a sunset cruise. The lady was nice but let us down as soon as she rattled off all the issues they were having ie:ran out of food, curly fries and wedges not available due to machines not working etc
The waiter we had seemed as if he was on another planet and was surprised when we asked for new cutlery because the one my husband had mouse poo stuck to it. Wouldn't recommend going there.
I've been let down by hogs breath twice in melbourne I thought maybe it was just the venue itself but it seems no matter where you go it's a bad business.

This is not your average hogs breath friendly local staff who love a chat and the food is amazing i wish Melbourne hogs breath had 1/10th of what this place does if you are in Port Douglas do not miss out on this genuinely memorable place !!!!

Prime rib meals came with small serving of sides. Smaller than on previous visits. Small amount of curly fries, with quite a bit of burnt and broken ends thrown onto the plate. Paid bill with cash, waited for change to come back, but it never did. Finally the server came past and asked us were we waiting for our change. We politely said no and left. We actually would have given the 4 bucks as a tip had the change been properly returned to us, but this incident has turned us off this chain. Goodbye hogs breath.

The 18 hour slow cooked steak (the house specialty) was just sublime! Got it in combo with the ribs and those were also very good. Tender meat that just drops of the bone. Sauce on the ribs was maybe a bit to sweet but that's personal preference. The chips were nicely seasoned and crispy. My only gripe with the meal were the fresh vegetables. While they were indeed fresh, they were also unseasoned and bland.

The service was fast, helpful and very friendly so overall it was a very pleasant experience and I would recommend the Hog's Breath Café if you are looking for a good place to eat in Port Douglas.

Had lunch with the family when visiting from UK. Couldn't fault it. Excellent food great service.

Went back for an evening visit. Excellent service again!
Definitely best steaks in town and probably best we've ever had (don't get this quality in the UK much these days).
A nice friendly venue to take the family.
If you're from the UK don't forget to say hi to Betty (from Middleborough).
