Not much tree shade, gets super hot in summer. Nice lake easy to get to

Nice place to camp! I spoke to lots of friendly fellow travellers, and the caretakers were nice too.
The bushland surrounding the campsite was fun to explore, with interesting local flora. When I was here (early November) the beach was kind of gross, with lots of rotting marine plants. It looks like this might be seasonal, or at least abnormal, as other people's pictures of the beach look nice.response / report this review -

Beautiful place to visit. Caretakers at the camp ground are great. The bird life is amazing. Great ocean views.

The new care takers are lovely people. This is a great spot and not far for us to drive to get away for a night from home. Will definitely be back!

Great cheap camping getaway with shallow water in the estuary for the kids to play in. Allows dogs.

Great camping spot, $7.50 per person. Crabbing in the summer months. Very quiet and relaxing.
