What a perfect location. The facilities were 5 star, from the site to the cooking facilities to the showers and bathroom. Not to mention close to shops, the zoo, waterfalls, walking tracks and on the door step of the Grampians!! Will definitely return.
Nice and knowledge guide, Bec. Nice weather with the gorgeous landscape. Worth visiting. Hope to have more time in taking pics.
Great park. Well laid out sites. Close to the shops
What a place. The wildlife comes to you. Good cabin reasonable price. Nice people.
I used to love this place and was my best place to go and relax until last trip. We were group of 3 families staying in 3 powered site. We had to argue with our neighbours about the fire pit located next to their site. The park staff in reception area said we can use any of free pits. We had a terrible night with my friends sitting next to an angry neighbour. A day after, when I asked the manager, he said that the fire pits are attached to a specific site and you can't use them!!! In reality we used someone else firepit !!! Feel so bad now. Used to recommend them to all my friend in SA and VIC, but I don't know how to explain this.
Very nice park and amenities. Great view
Reception was friendly and informative. Checked out late and the manager of the park was extremely understanding and helpful.
Nice place at the foot of the Grampians. Short walk to Venus Baths. Also love the fire pit on every site.
Kangaroos in the evening and morning make the stay even better.
Great location. Friendly staff. Close to walking tracks and shops. Super busy during school holidays and long weekends though.
Close to the town- beautiful views of the Grampians. Disappointing that they charge 2 dollars to use the bbq- haven't found that in any other caravan site- overpriced. (Nobody seemed to comply with the noise curfew) needs greater enforcement from the park staff.
Just loved the stay here . beautiful people and seeing the wild life and being able to get up close was so overwhelming .
Fantastic place and we had a fantastic time
Grumpy staff, not friendly to the kids thats for sure. Sites definitely could be bigger as there was very little room for caravans and campers plus the 4wd. Very strict on noise control after 10pm, in that we were not even allowed to chat pracefully by the campfire. Toilets and showers were only cleaned once per day despite the caravan park being packed for a long weekend with 100s of people using the one toilet block. Cleaning schedule really needs to cater to usage levels. They left a mop and bucket in the bathroom for guests to help keep it clean, but everytime i saw the bucket the water in it was black and tended to spread muddy water rather than clean it up. I watched the staff actually use the bucket in this state to mop the floor rather than changing the mop water. I think i will explore other accomodation options next time.
The park is in a great location. Walking distance to everything in town and the surrounding view is beautiful. The amenities are a bit dated but everything works fine. The lady who served is wasn't the friendliest but maybe she was having a bad day.
I have stayed in halls gap numerous times over the years and the last few times including this weekend I will be using Halls gap Caravan Park.
It has all the facilities you need for a great weekend away. It is Warm in winter and cool in summer. With a superb location it is close to everything. The cafes and shops across the road are fantastic and You can even do the pinnacle walk and numerous others right from your doorstep. There is room for kids to run around and other people to have campfires with. Going to halls gap for me is about returning to the simplicity of life, re-energising and a marvellous reset. I've had no problems staying in a budget cabin on my own or with a family in tow.
