It's been a while and buffet is just the easier option to choose. Decent selection and what I had was good
What stood out for me was the substitute duck which was almost the same as the real thing and the char siu was a sweeter version of the real thing
They charge by weight so it's not a buffet!

Good food. It would be even better if less 'faked' meat is used. Love their meals that's cooked with natural vegetable.

I've eaten here many times over the years and the food has always been good. Brought a few friends there last night and the food was as good as ever. What ruined it for me was we being charged $12 for a pot of tea! This is the same pot of tea we used to get charged $6 for. Apparently, they charge by the cup. So since there was four of us the same pot of tea a couple would pay $6 for we got charged $12. I won't be going back.

The food is good. We really like 42, I think. The service was so bad. We stood by the door for ages waiting for some to seat us, took them ages to take our order, the dish we were served missed an ingredient, and took them ages again to help us. Also, what's with the cat in the kitchen? I used the loo and there it is just wondering around.

I love restaurants that focus on delivering vegan versions of Asian meals. In this regard, Green Gourmet did definitely not disappoint me. Additionally, my meal, No. 91 was not only good sized, but I couldn't finish it - even though I typically leave a restaurant still hungry. Unfortunately, my food was quite watery and missing aroma. I guess I would return in an evening, so I can be more picky - because then, they serve a dinner buffet

I ate there three times in the span of 24 hours. I'd just ridden my bike across Australia and was beyond stoked on a legit vegan restaurant with chinese style food. I managed to get the buffet on the third trip and try their other options, it's absolutely amazing if you dig vegan chinese style. It's maybe a bit expensive but the amount of choices they have, speed of service, and deliciousness justify what I would say is a mild premium on their prices. This place is not for meat eaters who are trying vegan for first time, find a vegan burger joint instead. This place rules so much and I hope they always stay in business. The service was very fast even when the restaurant was full, I could go on. I'm sitting at the airport now with two orders of food I took to go. Long live Green Gourmet

Food tasted like burnt oil and soy sauce. Overpriced considering this poor taste. Also gave me food poisoning. I guess vegetarian restaurants can do such a thing if their hygiene is bad enough.

Vegan Yum Cha /Dim Sum. Do I need to say anything else? The choices for dumplings and buns are huge and we always leave here so full. They label their menu so you can find all the great gluten free options amongst the deliciousness. The staff are quick and efficient and don't take long to bring your food out.
They also do a buffet that is amazing. Its a fun way to try items on their menu that you aren't so sure about.response / report this review
