    My husband and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary in the hunter valley and were recommended to eat at Goldfish by a local. The chef here provided us with the most amazing dish we have ever tasted!!! Not only did we love the food but the bar staff gave us complimentary champagne to help up celebrate and put all their energy in to making sure we enjoyed our time in their restaurant!

    Thank you so much, we will be back and we will be sending everyone we know your way.

    Menu confusing at first, but staff are great talking you throght it and once you get around it it's like ordering tapas

    Nice food. We were there on a Saturday and it gets very crowded at around 1 pm and the service takes easily half an hour. Pizza is amazing and I would go back again

    These guys hold the record for the absolute longest service time I've ever seen in Australia. I ordered a caesar salad, my friend a cheese plate. Waiting time - an hour for such simple dishes.

    So so... normal pub food. Too noisy for family. Good for quick bite. However, we won't return for sure as it is not wow food. Not good service either as nobody wants to admit they have forgotten to update our reservation, instead blaming us for not knowing who we have spoken to. Make sure you take down their names!

    I ordered oysters, whitebait and alaskan crab. The oysters were really good, the crab was nice and the whitebait was like average salty fried fish that were not crispy. So the food varied in quality. The crab dish was garnished with wilted greens. They said they would bring them out progressively but sent them out all at once. The waiters were good and friendly.

    The place has a lot of potential but I felt something was lacking for the price point they are operating from. As a former chef myself it felt like the kitchen had a bit of a 'don't care' attitude.

    We had dinner here one night. Staff were friendly and provided good service, however this restraunt didn't have much atmosphere or character. We ordered the crab soliders and a lamb pizza. We were extremely dissapointed with the crab soliders and thought they were VERY overpriced. The pizza was nice on the other hand and better value. Dont think we would rush back here anytime soon.

    Poor Service
    Poor understanding of a customer
    Ordered an avocado salad with 3 tiny cubes of avocado. When waitress asks mechanically if all is well I say no. My avocado salad is missing the hero ingredient. I am told it has half an avocado and I tell her it doesn't. Manager comes and I repeat myself. He takes away the dish...no apology and brings it back with a quarter of an avocado in it. The rest of the salad is lettuce and shaved cucumber using a potato peeler. No salt or pepper and none offered. I believe it was $16. If it cost $1.00 to put together I would be shocked.
    Had another booking to go later in week with 8 friends and cancelled next day.

    My wife and I came here for my birthday celebration and I am glad to say that I was greeted by an energetic and cheerful waiter, who took our orders promptly while making light banter which was very refreshing.
    For the mains, we ordered the pork chop and barramundi; both of which were the best examples of each dish that I have ever eaten. The barramundi was flakey and melted in my mouth, and the flavors of the pork were greater than I thought possible. The pork too was so soft that our teeth were able to glide through it as a hot knife through butter, while the crumb coat remained crisp despite the glaze; a true sign of skill.
    Overall, this was an amazing experience and I would recommend this to any pork/fish lover.
