It's 30 years ago TODAY since Coming to America was released in Australia! Word is that Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall are working on a long-awaited sequel to this classic!

This film launched the careers of some of Hollywood's most famous faces, including Samuel L. Jackson, Cuba Gooding Jr., and Paula Abdul (who choreographed the two-minute tribal dance number).

The new documentary Jimmy Barnes: Working Class Boy opens at Fays Twin TONIGHT as well as on another 220 screens around Australia. It is the biggest cinema footprint for any Australian documentary in history, and it will be the biggest documentary opening of any sort since Michael Jackson’s This Is It back in 2009.

Early reviews for the movie have been great. Here’s just a few highlights:

★ ★ ★ ★ I felt tears behind my eyes as the film progressed, even though I knew the story...” – The Australian

“It's an engaging interlude and an intriguing insight into an Australian legend” - Urban Cinefile

★ ★ ★ ★ “Beautifully realised work. You will quite literally laugh and cry.” – Empire Magazine.

If you're a fan of Barnsie, get along to the cinema this week!

Good morning! We hope you have a great Tuesday :) Here is the movie lineup for Fays from Thursday August 16th to Wednesday August 22nd.

Our new blockbuster this week is The Meg Movie. #TheMEG has just had a massive opening weekend in both the United States and China, and is outstanding big-screen entertainment! The film stars Jason Statham as rescue diver Jonas Taylor, who save the stranded crew of a deep-sea submersible from an unimaginable threat -- a 75-foot-long prehisto...ric shark known as the Megalodon.

We also have the third installment of our #DisneyClassics Film Festival, 1941's #Dumbo. It's your chance to take the family along to see one of Walt Disney's masterpieces on the big screen, and at the special low price of only $7.50 per ticket regardless of ticket type.

For an older audience, we have limited screenings of #TheLeisureSeeker starring Donald Sutherland and Helen Mirren.

This will be the final week for Mission: Impossible #Fallout.
