  This place is definitely one of the better Indian restaurant around. I do find that from time to time the curries all taste the same. The buffet night is good value and seems to be better food than off the menu (more spice and taste). It's local for us, so will go back. It's definately not as bad as some people make out in these reviews.

  Purchased a takeaway meal in kinross IGA which they supply. Meal was mostly sauce. Came with 3 tiny pieces of chicken, which was more like 1 chunk cut into 3! Waste of money will avoid again.

  Best meal for a long time. Mixed curry off the 'chefs specialities' was wonderful (sorry can't remember the name) and the Keema curry knocked up by the owner was a delicious first for us in Oz. Restaurant was busy which is good to see as this is our local and we keep coming back despite trying over a dozen alternatives nearby. Service was as shocking as always but that's all part of the charm for us. Excellent food this week resulted in Curry Safari score of 82%

  Best Indian place this side of the river! We were treated with such warmth and wonderful service by all staff and the food was delicious. Can't recommend this place enough! Thank you for making my last night in Perth so fantastic.

  Wonderful food, shocking service, we had to ask for plates!!! staff asked to clear the table whilst we were still eating!! After I cleaned my wine glass it was able to drink from it, the list goes on. However we will return because we like the food...step up the service please.

  Great curry and naan bread but a couple of times we have been kids are behind counter making noise which isn't what you want when going for a chilled meal

  We just finished our delivered meal from Essence of India and OMG!...best Indian we have ever had. Lovely big chunks of tender meat without all the excess sauce and veggies that other restaurants add to fill the container. Amazing value for money. For what we normally spend on a dinner has easily stretched out for tomorrow's lunch. Very happy customers. :)

  When you first opened, i used to eat there regularly.. but after a few bad meals i stopped.. i left it a few years and tried again, but meal after meal is terrible.. tonight i have a chicken korma in watery sauce with chicken peices SO SO big im questioning which part of the chicken it could be.. the meat is very hard aswell. Nearly $50 wasted again. And a very annoyed and unhappy husband again (indian husband). Sorry but tonight youve lost our custom indefinitely.

  Absolutely magnificent restaurant. The service is amazing with brilliant staff, quality of the food is second to none. Great atmosphere, good for groups.
