It’s amazing these two made it down the aisle considering after they first met (and hit it off) Christopher texted Kristen to invite her on a date, but as she only knew him by his nickname (and he’d signed off as Chris) she promptly deleted the text thinking it was a wrong number. When Michelle met Richard on Tinder her friends breathed a sigh of relief as they were growing increasingly worried that she was turning into a crazy cat lady. He wooed her with a killer pick up line and on their first date (a Wintry evening at South Bank) he conveniently forgot to bring a jumper, meaning that Michelle was much more likely to give him a cuddle to keep him warm. They’ve not stopped cuddling since!

Saturday afternoon saw the rain hold off for the wedding of Chantelle & Dan. These two sweethearts first crossed paths when they joined an online dating site and after only a weekend on it they lined up a date where they got along so well they ended up married! Had an awesome time celebrating with them.

Saturday saw me marrying Michelle & Richard at a family property in Bellbowrie. The attention to detail was nothing short of incredible, which is exactly what you’d expect from the combined talents of a Landscape Architect & an Interior Designer. Jordi & Hannah planned the most wonderfully relaxed wedding (I believe their exact words were, “a classy piss up”). Everyone was told to dress for comfort (the groom wore Birkenstocks & shorts) and after a fun ceremony in the New Farm Park Rotunda (complete with gelato cart) they all jumped on the ferry bound for a Brewery reception. Hannah looked stunning in Ginger and Gold Bridal & Prue Franzmann Photography was there to capture it all.

The same must be true of finding the perfect celebrant. We have received such amazing praise and feedback from our guests about our “fun” and “unique” wedding. I got to marry Peter & Nicola in front of an excellent crowd this afternoon at @novoteltwinwaters They have known each other since they were teenagers; Peter was the older brother of one of Nicola’s friends and he used to drive them to parties & buy them booze. It’s not as pervy as it sounds, in fact they didn’t take much notice of each until years later and then, it was on.
