  I'd recommend East Coast Car Rentals.
  
  Only downside - last shuttle bus back to airport departs at 530pm, so drop off time is constrained by that (unless you do after hours drop off and pay for an Uber to airport).
  
  All the upsides:
  
  - Pickup from the airport was swift and easy (they even sent a text so I had the phone number on hand, I found that helpful).
  
  - The car was in very good condition and had excellent petrol consumption.
  
  - In comparison to a different car company from whom I recently hired, East Coast had already taken photos of different parts of the car to show the condition of the car, showed me the photos, I compared them to the actual car, and signed off on the condition. That was a really sensible way to do a condition report!
  
  - The pickup / drop off location allows easy access on and off the Ring Road (Melbourne), which is helpful for someone unfamiliar with the road system.
  
  - The staff were prompt and helpful.
  
  Really pleased with East Coast and will confidently hire from them again if I find their rates are the best at the time I need.

  These guys provided excellent service, were super helpful and got us on the road quickly when the heard we were in a hurry. They went beyond expectations in regard to directions, speed camera warnings about where we were traveling to and also contacted us regarding property we'd left in the car and assisted getting it sent back to us. Will definitely use again and recommend.

  The vehicle was almost new. Very clean and well presented. Staff were friendly although some could do with a little smile. Very happy with the company and would recommend them to friends and family.

  Tullamarine east coast rentals was super accessible and shuttle service was punctual, friendly and comfortable, great cost and car condition was perfect- and car seats where really good quality and great sides on head rests for napping toddlers. The staff stayed behind for us on a Saturday for us to collect, and drop off was seamless.
  Will come here time and time again for future trips.

  Everything I arranged was just perfect. From the rental cost, the option of waiving the excess on damage, transport to the rental depot and return to the airport at conclusion of the rental period was just seamless. When I booked, I wanted the cheapest car possible but when I arrived I was provided with an almost brand new Corolla which was a delight to drive. I would recommend East Coast to anyone.
