Best pub meal I've had in a while the steak and the sniti are absolutely lovely. The staff are friendly and the service is prompt. Wpuld defiantly recommend this place as a must for a casual quality meal.

Great service and great food! Had the steak last weekend and the Calamari tonight, excellent on both occasions!

Ordered starter & main course, asked whether I wanted both courses served at the same tim, I said no, entre first, then main. We were still eating when the main meal was brought out & the fish had been refried, making the batter too brown & oily, We found the meal spoiled & hence the whole experience left, literally just a bad taste in the mouth. Disappointed by this event!

Four of us visited and all four of us ordered steak and salad with mash. Two ordered sirloin and two ordered rump. All steaks we're cooked to perfection, in our case, medium rare. The sirloin in particular was absolute 'melt in the mouth'. Loved the Diane sauce. Give the lorry boys golden ale a try..we were pleasantly surprised, a slightly fruity flavour with a good hop punch. Went well with our steaks. Staff were friendly and service was relatively quick.Prices were very reasonable. One of us (me 😀) topped our meal off with a win on the pokies so all in all a great night out. Would definitely recommend.

Great food, good service and the kids love the playground. Just an easy relaxing place to eat with a family.

The sign at the front said "please wait to be seated." However after waiting for a few minutes I decided to give up and go straight to the counter to order my meal . I ordered a caesar salad with calamari, which tasted quite nice, however it took about 40 minutes to come to my table . This is despite the fact that the place was very quiet .

    Went for dinner:

Calamari entree for starters - best calamari I've ever had!

Char grilled steak with prawns for mains: asked for medium rare and actually got medium rare, so pleased with that, and it was really nice!

The chips were a little over done and the veggies a little underdone - but that's just to my preference, I know others would have be fine with them as they were.

    Very friendly and polite staff.

Nice Merlot to have with the steak.

Going to lay down now and enjoy the food coma.

It was my first time to.eat here. We were glad to be seated right away when we got there for dinner. It was almost full. We liked the food and would order them again except that their beef curry, the meat was tough. On the menu it says TENDER. I mean why serve tough meat? The sauce was delicious so it would have been perfect. And that's after waiting 45mins to be served. My husband liked his fish curry. But we won't go back if the wait time is that long.

Food was nice. When it arrived.
We turned up early to an empty pub. Ordered our food. Two hours later, many people had been served, but not us.

    I enquired.

Apparently the software is unreliable, so our order had been lost.

Staff apologised and refunded the cost of the absent starters.

Starters arrived. Well most of them. On being reminded, the last starter was served.

The main course arrived (well, most of it). Apparently they were now busy in the kitchen.

Still no pizza for my daughter.

    I complained again.

It appears the pizza oven is on the verge of meltdown due to the phenomenal number of orders (the place was half full at this point, with few pizzas visible). Pizza arrived shorlty after, with signs of being rushed through the oven. Price of pizza refunded,

At this point, even the waitress asked us to complain in writing. Apparently the head chef is away.

Food was nice, but safe to say, we did not stop for dessert, and will not be returning.

    Shambles. To be avoided.

I have been here numerous times. Food is good and the staff are friendly. there is also a play area for kids with a glass window so you can keep an eye on them. meal sizes are good and pricing is great. close to ESplanade.
