'Do You Bee-lieve?' is a Magical Christmas Wonderland Exhibition,
created by Visual Display Artist Jule Barten and
Original Doll Artist Chris Boston.
'Do You Bee-lieve?' is the follow-on-exhibition from Lollipop Land, which was first created in 2011.
Over the years, we have seen our two Dragons (Mr Trufflewafflepuff and Ms Lulu Lovebug) fall in love and leave the North Pole to head off on a journey to Somewhere Over the Rainbow; we've witnessed them getting married in 2017 and in 2018, they introduced us to their new baby dragons on the Night Before Christmas!
We certainly hope that you will join us in Caloundra in 2019 for this one-of-a-kind exhibition, because we never create the same thing twice, making each year a truly unique experience, that is not to be missed!
A little bit about the artists ....
Jule and Chris have been exhibiting together since 2006 and have collaborated on numerous projects for several years prior to that.
Chris has now been hand-sculpting her lovable Art-Dolls for some 30 years and has exhibited extensively throughout Australia and Internationally, winning numerous awards along the way. She is highly regarded among her peers and many of her much-loved characters, have made their way to treasured new homes.
Jule has been a Visual Display Artist and a serious day-dreamer, for a long, long time and loves to create the magical stories for Chris's characters to live in with her specialty being, Beautiful Christmas Trees, that are all one-off creations.
Think of the theatre and you'll kind of get the picture ... Chris is responsible for the casting, make-up, fashion and acting whereas Jule, is responsible for the design, the props, set direction, script-writing, etc, etc.
Whether it's Do You Bee-lieve? or Lollipop Land or, The Faeries Tea Party, you will discover that it really is, a joint effort to bring the magic alive! <3 <3 <3
'Do You Bee-lieve?' will OPEN at 57 Bulcock Street, Caloundra on November 23, 2019.
‘Do You Bee-lieve?’ is an undercover air-conditioned event, with several cafes located nearby, disabled access; Eftpos facilities and an on-site gift shop. We are also just 300 metres from the beach!
No bookings are required for general entry. The Faeries Tea Party Tickets are held from November 2 - 17 only and tickets are available through jule@whimsicalimaginings.com.au.
Free on-site parking is located underneath the exhibition with access via Carter Lane (off Minchinton Street). There are also two free parking stations located close-by in Cooma Terrace and Ormuz Avenue in addition to, 2-hour metered parking bays available on Bulcock Street.
'Do You Bee-lieve?' can also be accessed by Public Transport, with the Transit Centre located just 300 metres away in Cooma Terrace. You can catch the number #605 bus from the Landsborough Railway Station to take you there.
Open seven days a week, Saturday November 23, 2019 to Sunday, January 19, 2020.
