  Highly recommended. Local Canberra move. George and (sorry did not catch other name) did an excellent job. They worked solidly and everything arrived in perfect condition. I’m glad Blue Pear cancelled on us and we went with Dawson. Thanks.

  They mishandled my Office Desk and broke it!!!
  
  Then the staff said that the desk was loose. Lie!
  I have moved it interstate twice and moved it locally twice, i.e. a total of 4 times without any issues or comments from other removalists saying that it was loose. They carried it incorrectly and they know it! I had to add a note to their final invoice (completed by their team leader to ensure that the all details were correct); note that I have noted that the desk had been moved before without issues (different hand writing obvious).
  
  The team leader was even concerned to the extent that he asked whether I would inform the office, to which I replied no but obviously once I saw the note on the final invoice (which indicated he was going to tell the office anyway and try to blame it on the desk been loose), I discussed this with Chris (local manager) when paying the balance.
  
  In the end I was so concerned about their ability to move my belongings into the storage facility that once they had brought them all upstairs I advised the men to leave as I did not trust that they would not damage any further items. I will give the men this, they did at least apologise to me on the day.
  
  The quote was for 2 men. They sent 3 men and used this (as per Chris) as an excuse to charge me the full quote since the move (they claim was done quicker because of 3 men). This was said purely as a way to increase their charge for the service and to reduce/eliminate the need to compensate me adequately for the broken desk. Chris attempted to compensate me for the desk with a small amount (which was in my opinion inadequate). Everything was already prepared for them (even the mattress cover sheet). All they had to do was put them in the truck and take them off. It was very easy for them.
  
  I would ensure that if you're going to use their service, ensure you watch how their staff are working in every step of the way.
  
  I would never recommend this company to anybody!

  I used them 2 1/2 years ago to move between suburbs. They packed the boxes for me, drove across town, and then unloaded the boxes and big furniture. Nothing was dented/damaged in transit and they let me know I could return the moving boxes after I unpacked for a small rebate on the moving fees.
  
  I took off a star because there was a small snag with the people who packed the boxes. The box packers packed up my broom and vaccum (even though I said I needed them) before all the heavy furniture was moved out by the van loaders.
  
  I couldn't do a final sweep in all the rooms once they were empty. That's a small issue overall and I was happy/satisfied with the way they handled all the boxes and furniture they moved.

  Moved with the Canberra team just recently and service was great and a good team of guys who worked right throughout the day and were obliging and worked hard. Good value for money and while they were not the cheapest quote, they were certainly worth the cost. Was very impressed with the capacity to surge with other teams assisting on what was a big move!!!! Well done guys and great service. Thanks.

  These guys moved me from Melbourne to Canberra. Did the whole suite with packing options. Made the whole process simple. Highly recommend if you want to not have to stress about the move.

  Jason and Jack did a wonderful job moving our house. The job took a bit longer than they expected, but they were very careful with all our furniture, covering our lounge in plastic before moving it. Nothing was broken and I would certainly use them again.

  There are a number of reasons why i would never use this company again. I had them move me into a storage facility for which i was going to be occupying for 6months. They deliberately broke things, stole a lamp and poured coke all over a metallic candelabra (then discarded the can inside the storage locker) knowing that i wouldn't find the damage/stolen articles for 6months. When i rang to complain on the day the woman decided not to record the complaint as it was her brother. After removing my belongings from the storage facility and finding all the damaged and stolen items Dawsons will not return my phonecalls.
