I met up with an old friend and we both enjoyed our meal. The food is fine. There was plenty of it.

If i could take off the 1 star i have marked i would, this place is a total excuse for hospitality if thats what they are trying to provide. I have been to different restaurants and Cafes and im always up for something interesting so i took my family with me for a drive to castlemaine to help my daughter out with her project on castlemaine and the gold rush era. After a hour and half of driving from Melbourne my two kids a yelling at us because they are hungry. Speaking from my experience if your kids are hungry you must drop or stop what ever you are doing or its world war for you. So i pulled up at the cafe Cured in 113 mostyn st castlemaine. I ordered two beef burgers a vegetable soup and 3 drinks. 45 minutes pass kids really hungry at this point almost boiling point hungry so when up to check my order which i found out it was not even in the cooking process and there werent many people in there. Not just that .they ran out of chips to serve but they didn't even gave us our drinks which were payed for. I went to the fridge to see if any juices are there but it was empty. What type of cafe would run out of the basics and still take customers money?
Enough is enough i got my money back after wasting my time. Would definitely not recommended this cafe to family or anyone at all. There are plenty of other cafe across the road. So walk pass this one. I wish i did.response / report this review -
