It's a good little place to stay if you're visiting Halls Gap, a little away from Halls Gap, around 40 minutes driving, but it's okay if you have a car, since the route from the Motel to Halls Gap is nice! The room was neat and clean, well equipped, electric heating bed, hot water, iron. Good parking space as well. The rates are also reasonable.
The only problem was that the wifi wasn't getting detected. Although the wifi name and password were provided, but couldn't find the wifi itself. Maybe the staff would've helped if we had asked, so I'd like to give them the benefit of doubt and state that all in all, it's a nice place to stay if you're visiting Halls Gap!

The rooms are clean and quite spacious. We were 4 to the room, with plenty of space. The motel had a communal bbq which was well kept and ready to use, utensils were freely available to us. Managers were pleasent and very kind and friendly. All in all the perfect place to stay.

Terrific motorcycle friendly motel in Ararat. This is my "go-to" place to stay when I'm in Ararat or on my way through. Lovely clean, modern rooms with very friendly owners. You can't do better in Ararat than the Chalambar.
