Nice pitstop along the way to Phillip Island. Quality food although a bit expensive with mains over $20 but it's worth it. Fun stop for the kids as well as they provide free animal feed so you can feed some small farm animals and has an outdoor playground. Also sells homemade jams and produce.

Was a 5 star rating as they have an amazing milkshake but since they are selling they have taken away the petting area for most of the animals. Playground is also only suitable for 3 and up

An odd place that we often drive by. Always looks busy from the cars in the car park, so this time we stopped. A packed cafe. Took 10 minutes in the queue to place an order. I asked for the Coeliac friendly chips, but was advised they were terrible, and best not order it. Food came promptly, and the coffee’s 30 minutes later. The girl taking the orders was constantly trying to get the barista back on the machine to make coffees. A strange place - not quite sure why it’s as popular as it is.

- poor service, drinks came out 20 minutes apart from each other.
- staff were unfriendly when asked where our drinks were
- thickshakes are NOT thick at all
- "fruit smoothies" have no fruit and are made with milk
- poor value for money, rediculous prices
- the smell was very overwhelming and unappealing

OMG @ the people complaining shocked by the bill. Expecting $5 for a home made chunk steak pie. Seriously it is $19 as a meal with chips and salad. It is good and a fair price. Cant even buy a pie from footy for $5. Place has menus with pricing. You choose what you want then pay. Food gets cooked fresh and bought out to you. Place is nice and clean not run down as others have said. Playground for the kids and some animals to see. It is along side a highway and needs to make money. Pricing is fair with generous amount of food on the plate.

Caldermeade Farm & Cafe along the Sth Gippsland Hwy is an interesting place to stop if you have kids but the food, prices and service offered in the cafe leave a lot to be desired. As well the animals and playground, the milking shed is worth a look.

Great place to take the kids. Nice homestyle food and coffee plus big playground, lots of room to run around and animals to pat. Could easily spend the whole day here

Stop by for a cozy meals and super shakes. Service can take a lil long - but you are in a farm! Kickback & enjoy the landscape and small chat. No entry fee, and you can mingle with the farm animals. Kids will love running around & have a play. Great place to take a break on your highway journey. It does get crowded over the weekends.

Was lured in by the signs along the freeway and thought it might be a fun stop for the kids on a road trip.
The waitresses weren't friendly or welcoming and I was shocked to receive a bill for over $50 for such a small lunch order. Turns out the pie was $19.00. Yes, you read that right. $19.00.
As someone posted here before, if you want to charge 19.00 for a pie, then make sure that price is well displayed! Most of us would assume a pie is in the $5.00 range.
It would have hurt less if the pie was great but it was totally average!
Would recommend pulling in to show your kids the animals on display which is free, but keep your pennies for another cafe.

The cafe is a bit expensive but the whole venue is free entrance so unless you buy something you can see it all free. It's great fun for the kids. If the weather is nice there is lots of running around and things to see. Go to the end of the milking shed up the stairs to the viewing gallery!
