Dont ever go here i want it all to myself
Beautiful dam but a pain to get to.
Walk in on a day-trip from Hawkesbury River railway station (Easter, April 2019). Found the water warm enough for swimming. Plenty of flat space for camping. Walked out via creek that exited the dam - a scramble down the creek and through a one hundred metre tunnel out to the roadway. No bathrooms. Bring in gas stove for cooking.

Great spot for the night. Good drinking water
Quite Place~ beautiful flowers~ easy to access~
Solid campsite that is only about a 20 min walk from Brooklyn. Another 20min walk along the Great North Walk toward Cowan will get you to a cliff offering amazing views of the Hawkesbury River, the marina and Brooklyn. Only flaw is the cicada sound.
