little spenny but good service
Great pub good staff good meals out door area as well
Friendly staff and well stocked, happy with the prices too :)
Beautiful sea view, does what it says on the packet, not luxurious but definately comfortable. Balcony, 25mtr from sea
Fish was barramundi, which was undercooked. And I didn't fancy how it was served on a wooden board. The steak was okay. Waited for plates to be collected so as to mention to waitress, ended up leaving in end.
The salat buffé was nice and the rump steak tough. Ordinary town pub style with gaming and tv-screen over the tables.
Terrible! Sat down at table, looked at menus for 10 minutes, ordered meal for 4 at counter, quoted table number, paid, returned to table - where a woman sat claiming it was reserved and she had been outside on her phone!
Queried with Manager (who had taken our payment) and he was unaware of this. No reserved signs to be seen!
Unhappily refunded our pre-payment. Luckily another hotel in Robe township -The Caledonian - as well as fish and chips, and Pizza Project (all professional and friendly service even when busy).
Fish of the day was gummy shark melted in oil. Salad plate so small that I was forced to eat directly from the table , not from the plate. Steak not local, so gave I it a miss. Local hand crafted beers served way below suggested serving temperature. A beautiful location, needs to understand au terror. I left my food, but in fairness was offered grilled gummy shark, which I declined. Bread? Bring your own as it is heated from frozen dough. Quite disgusting really. We travel a lot, I have big problems selling Australia over seas. Why?
Typical old school, Aussie pub dining, complete with a salad bar. Really enjoyed the Hawaiian parma and chips. A shame they didn't have tables set up outside as I think they're the only eatery that's actually on the waterfront. Dining area is pretty bare and uninteresting.
