  Such a good place to eat !
  Inside is so lovely, with wood everywhere and fire place when it's a cold day.. it look like a "chalet" ...
  Good fresh food and great coffee (the owner won lot of "Barista concours" couple of years ago, I spoke a little bit with him) I understand now why my coffee was so good :)
  I highly recommend to make a stop here.
  Really nice place and food .

  Seriously great coffee, and beautiful food.
  Was travelling great ocean road and stopped in, and was surprisingly great. Will come back on my next road trip.

  Girlfriend and I stopped by while travelling great ocean road and absolutely loved it.
  Beautiful coffee and great food. Definitely will be coming back.

  One star is too much for this terrible experience. We had a party of eight. Four people got their food so much earlier than everyone else we had finished before anything else came. Glasses were dirty. Food was not as described on the menu with processed chicken replacing what was supposed to be grilled chicken. When questioned about the delay in food and the changed menu items the owner became hostile and belligerent. Never have I been treated like this in a ‘restaurant ‘ he was argumentative to the point of harrassment and refused to take any of our feedback on board. Terrible service, terrible food and a dog in the restaurant jumping up on the table legs. Disgraceful. Give it a wide birth.

  Terrible experience, overpriced, no record of sale at register, no change available, food was supermarket variety of cakes and slices, most things not available on the menu. I think the days for this enterprise are limited, on a positive .....great view to the sea.

  Premises look very clean and tidy the staff was very nice the chefs food was a delicacy enjoyed our time at Blackwood visit the place for great breakfast and lunch

  Be careful - this is cash only restaurant! Owner and chef were nice! They accommodated our request. Thai Currey and veg fried rice are delicious.

  As we were passing by the Forrest on the great ocean road and by surprise we went on to see this gem on lavers hill the Blackwood gully
  It is the best restaurant in whole great ocean road the views are great the building architecture is a delight to see as Its my profession too.The food was great perfect pasta burgers were great kids were happy to have pancakes.my suggestion to everyone visit the place to enjoy

  Nice enough staff and tasty ish food although they didn't have three out of the eight choices on the menu so couldn't have what we originally wanted. Crazy prices for what you get, not clean, girls toilet out of order so was asked to use men's which was disgusting with no toilet roll so couldn't even go to the toilet. Go to pay at the end to be told the card machine doesn't work so I say I have no way of paying, i then get told to get cash out from the cafe across the road, that was out of order so I come back to tell the lady it's out of order and then she asks if I can pay online but they have no wifi and I have no Signal so again couldn't pay. At this point she suggests that we try using the card machine and the card machine did work so all of that for nothing, now running late for the rest of our great ocean road trip. Wouldn't recommend

  Bad dining experience. Not the standard Aussies would expect. Food not fresh, mostly microwaved frozen food.
