There's nothing call service in this place. No body welcome and sit you, you have to find a spot yourself and wait in a long line to order at the counter.
My juice was made out of rotten dark mint, when I brought it up to the counter and complaint, the lady (I guess she's the boss) gave me a sleazy look said, "yes it's the mint". I said "it's shouldn't be black". Then she told her staff to show me the bunch of mint they've used from the fridge, and it was disgustingly rotten.
I got my drink remade after, but I guess I'll never come back. And I would never recommend it to anyone.

Lovely place for breakfast. Kid friendly to boot and outdoor seating for those nice and toasty days.

The food was very good. The poached eggs on my eggs Benedict were perfectly runny and golden. I loved the fact that the hollondaise sauce wasn't poured all over.

Call ahead for a table! They are usually busy on weekends.

You can judge a good breakfast place by how well they poach an egg and Bekendales has the perfect poached eggs. This is a beautiful little cafe with cosy insides and good coffee. The breakfast menu has good selections and couldn't fault any of the items. We ordered the big brekky and eggs Benedict with pork belly. The big brekky was indeed generous and not the run of the mill, big meat laden versions. The beetroot hummus and feta were perfect accompaniments. The place gets busy especially during weekends and booking is recommended. Would highly recommend for catch-ups and weekend brunch.

Can't believe it took me so long to stop in here. We went to the brewery but it was closed, the guy in the bottle shop said we could go for a beer here. Friendly, good beer, had a tasty sandwich too.
