Thought I would give them a second chance, I am glad I did! It’s amazing the difference an alternate cook can make. They went out of their way to accommodate my weird request & everything tasted great. The Turbo Bird burger (without bun) was so good & prepared so quickly! Such a difference. The FOH staff were helpful & attentive. Well worth a second try. Hope this is your permanent cook, if so, I’ll be back again!

Lovely place, staff were friendly and very attentive, food came out extremely fast which was great and cocktails were delicious, onion rings were quite hollow and ribs were bland, but apart from that everything was great

It's called Beef & Barley because it's mainly burgers + beers. TIL that it's a completely different place to Walt & Burley, on the opposite corner of the foreshore, which appears a tad more sophisz. No complaints about B&B but yawn, 🥱, nothing stood out. As a Northside local, it's not worth the drive. Northside burger joints are killing it ATM.

The rich residents of Kingston won't mind overpriced burgers & chips. Although Grease Monkeys is just a few metres away, their burgers occupy an entirely different niche tastewise, so I don't think it's wrong to have these 2 places side by side.

Pics: Very mushroomy arancini: Not the best but with so many restaurants using frozen arancini from woolies, this one's insides were ok.
Beef burger salad was good too. Quality meat, 4/5.

Great cocktails which were reasonably priced. The meals were delicious, up there in price but worth it. Full of flavour. It wasn't too busy when we went so managed to get a great seat.

    I got a takeaway burger.

    The good:
    - easy to order over the phone
    - big meal
    - nice facilities
    - well packaged for takeaway
    - friendly people
    - excellent location
    - some high quality ingredients
    - fast service; ready for pickup in 15mins

    The bad:
    - chips lacked flavour, despite quantity
    - burger patty was dry
    - expensive, $27.70 for a burger + chips on Sunday, I got a coke from nearby bottle shop because otherwise it would be $5+
