Great historic hotel with old world charm, children's play area, ice cold beer, betting and pokie facilities, very cheap lunch menu and friendly staff. You have got to give the grilled ocean trout a try. Well worth a visit.

Went in at 5 to look at dinner menu for later, told no meals until 6. Explained I was looking in advance for later. Staff member leaves, another staff member walks in. Telks me no meals until 6. Explained to staff member, they leave, another staff member walks in. Guess what, no meals until 6. GEEZ, I FLIPPING KNOW!! Please cancel my reservation, thanks anyway.

Food was terrible!!!!!!!! That bad it wasn't worth what we paid for it. We remember going to the Barron afew years ago for a great pub meal. Never once were we unhappy with the food. A real shame, staff and atmosphere was great and a good place to take kids and relax. We won't be going back!
