Very comfy bed but noisy ac/heater abd needs bigger better tvs in the room. But the bed was what gave it 4 stars if not a great bed would be a 3 star hotel.

The room was neat and very clean. The bathroom was huge, apparently all rooms have disable friendly bathrooms. The bed was really comfy and the place was quiet, even though they were booked out.
The price was great, quite reasonable for 1 night. The lady in reception recommended the Park Hotel for tea - they have a courtesy bus that picks up from out the front - she made the arrangements for us.
The only bad thing was the blinds. They are different lengths and there is quite a gap between them, nearly 2 inches. The lights from the carpark, needed for security & safety, shone in my eyes all night between the gap in the blinds. Didn't get too good a nights sleep. Great motel. Great hosts. Rooms are very clean & tidy with exceptionally comfortable beds. Also go out of their way to raise funds for the Love Your Sister organisation with a swear jar (almost full!) with array of ways for guests to help fill it. The week we were there all proceeds from bacon & egg breakfasts (which were delicious) so another $60 went straight in the swear jar. Very refreshing to find business people prepared to get involved with something close to our hearts. We know where to stay in Ballarat now & have highly recommended to our friends at home in Adelaide

The male owner was very rude, breakfast was horrible. Your better off paying a few extra dollers and staying at the motel a few doors up.

I was very skeptical about saying at a motel but the Ambassador was better than some supposed "4 star" hotel I stayed in, in Melbourne
