  Getting and returning the car was all fine. However at my own fault i left my wallet and beanie in the car. I have tried for a number of weeks to contact them. The phone line once transfered to the melbourne airport office just cuts out immediatly. I have had to replace all my cards including drivers licence and my overseas id. Whats really upsetting is the irreplaceable drawings and notes kept in there from my daughter as a child.

  Poor , rude service. Mostly on return side . Car returned clean , damage free and full of fuel . Yet mistery extra charge has been taken with no explanation what so ever .

  New car at a really good price. Staff were helpful and friendly, which is rare in Melbourne these days. Drop off easy.

  Avis is our preferred choice for car hire in Australia. Road trips in QLD, NSW, WA and now VIC have all been comfortable and hassle free.
  
  At this particular depot, there was quite a queue at pick up but lots of staff about helping and redirecting customers to a second office. We didn't wait very long at all.
  
  Spacious enough for a few people with luggage, there is also seating and water available.
  
  Drop off could not be easier and this is always the case.
  
  You can use and earn Qantas points with Avis too.
