  I made an online enquiry on a Sunday afternoon, and between Monday and Wednesday Aveling attempted to call me 3 times. Unfortunately, I couldn't speak to them when they called, and I actually called them back twice - and they couldn't respond to me when i called them either (I guess we're all busy people / on the phone / in meetings - no hard feelings).
  
  I certainly didn't appreciate this SMS message I received from Aveling's representativeso we'll be taking our business elsewhere.

  March last year after looking around for builders it was quite a challenge to find the right one that suit my needs and budget. Fortunately I came across Aveling Homes who made me feel more comfortable and relaxed with their services. I found Aveling's staff to be very friendly and professional!!!
  I'm very pleased with the products and quality they provided!
  The completion of my house make me a happy man :)

  I purchased a home recently and unfortunately found defects after the sale was finalised. The house is 7 years old and I've been told that one of the ceilings will likely fall down in the next year or two if not fixed. Unfortunately the statutory warranty is 6 years, while the contract states they offer a warranty of 25 years, apparently they don't honour this if the house is sold and as a result are not interested in correcting clearly shoddy work. On this basis I wouldn't use them if you want a quality build.

  My husband and I had John Oosthuizen as our sales consultant and could not be more pleased with his professionalism, helpfulness and support through an otherwise very stressful process.
  
  With the grants coming into play, the building process became busy and even harder to navigate with many bumps and complications along the road. The only thing keeping us both sane was John helping us, going above and beyond what he needed to do and keeping us informed along the way.
  
  We have recommended John Oosthuizen to all of our family and friends as a sales consultant, and will continue to do so. Aveling Homes, you are lucky to have him!
