I stayed here for a couple of nights. The room was very nice and especially the bathroom was not only great re design but also high quality equipment. The standard of the truly quiet room and bathroom can easily be compared or let say tops some of the high class big brand hotels. I liked much that there was a supermarkt next door. One point less for the quite thin blanket and pillow. Room is warm of course but I like a more heavier blanket and more dense pillows.

Doesn't look like much from outside, but a rather quite place (considering how close it is to a 6 lanes road.), comfortable room and bed. Hotel staffs are efficient, the breakfast has enough variety.
Note thay if you share a room with people you are not comfortable being naked around, you are screwed. Because shower room has transparent glasses making you visible by all in the room.
Altogether, a lovely place in Vienna.

I think it was the same hotel I stayed in a few years ago when I visited Vienna for a UN meeting. It suited my mission.walking distance to the VIC, clean, nice breakfast, good and polite front desk and reasonable in pricegood value for money. I look forward to being there again in mid July and will recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Very quiet, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great - lots of choice. It's only a short walk to the Vienna International Centre if you're visiting the IAEA or the United Nations. It's about 300m walk to the nearest train station and from there about five stops to get into the old part of the city.

My wife and I stayed at the Strandhotel for five nights on our honeymoon and were very pleased with the accommodations. We stayed in one of the recently-renovated rooms overlooking the canal. The room had a modern feel and was well-appointed for the price. The owners and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My parents have stayed several times as well and have always had a positive experience. If I return to Vienna soon (hopefully) and my budget won't allow me to stay in central Vienna I will almost certainly return to the Strandhotel.
