Had such an amazing time in Innsbruck recently and it was all down to the amazing snowboarding lesson I got by snowboarding instructor Alexis from the Ski & Snowboarding school.

I had never been snowboarding before, however, after walking in to Die Boerse (where you can hire and purchase snowboarding and skiing gear) I was informed about everything I would need to hire along with all the information I needed to choose the correct mountain and type of lesson for me. I ended up going for a private half a day (2.5 hours) snowboarding lesson.

The next day I met Alexis (my snowboarding instructor) in the lobby of my hotel and she then guided me and my partner up the mountain to where I would be learning. It was amazing and without having any snowboarding lessons previous, she managed to teach me the basics and by the end of the two hours I was able to safely snowboard down the mountain by myself for the rest of the day.

Was such a great time and would definitely recommend Alexis as a great snowboarding instructor!

If you come here to take a snowboard lesson, please request for Lucus. He's the best instructor, you won't be disappointed.

January 2019 - My husband, daughter and close friend arrived in Innsbruck from Australia with no idea where to go to organise snowboard service & repair, snowboard lessons and rent appropriate gear. After searching the internet, we found a place called Die Borse. The young man who greeted us was extremely helpful and spoke very good English. Within no time he had organised our board maintenance and gear rental. He also organised Michael Bar from Ski & Snowboard Schule Innsbruck to assist us with our lessons and detailed instructions for getting to the Patscherkofel ski area for the following day. Michael went out of his way to meet all of our needs, including driving us back to our accommodation with our equipment that evening, free of charge. On the day of the lesson, we were picked up and dropped off at the bus stop to take us up to the slope and again picked up at the end of the day.

Our snowboard instructor, Carlos (I think that was his name), was fantastic. He was friendly, reassuring and made us laugh! After only one two-hour lesson my daughter learnt the basics and was able to confidently attempt to snowboard a blue slope.

After we returned our rental gear, we asked Michael for suggestions on where to go to dinner. As we had no mobile coverage, Michael attempted to book a reservation at one of his favourite restaurants. Fortunately for us, it was fully booked! Michael then proceeded to make another phone call, making a booking for us at a small, family owned restaurant on the outskirts of Innsbruck. He went out of his way to take us to the front door of the restaurant, tackling the slippery icey roads, as well as giving us tips on what authentic Austrian food to sample. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed the food and the experience.

Mike also arranged transport for us to travel to Konigsleiten, an hour's drive away, at a very reasonable price. Our driver, Kristoff, was just as welcoming and friendly as Mike. He made the drive thoroughly entertaining.

I highly recommend for anyone looking to have a ski or board experience in the Innsbruck area to go to Die Borse and Ski & Snowboard Schule. Mike was an absolute pleasure to deal with, nothing was too much trouble and he approached everything with a friendly, generous and above all completely professional manner.

Thank you for an unforgettable 3-day holiday in Innsbruck!!! Looking forward to coming back one day!
