This was the most expensive accommodations for our entire trip, and by far the absolute worst service.

The hotel itself was ok, the problem here was the parking. Only residents can drive in the town, so you have to park in a parking lot outside of town and take a shuttle to the hotel. We took shuttle in without a hitch, and were told shuttles run every 30 minutes. On checkout, we wanted to take luggage to the car so we could enjoy a day in town. The shuttle driver dropped us off at the car with the luggage. When asked to take us back to the hotel he got an attitude and started yelling at us " check in, check out" We called the hotel their response was, he works for the shuttle service not the hotel, call a cab"

    Great Location, nice rooms.
The price has increased in the last 4 years in a 300% with no improvements in the hotel. That’s not acceptable.
They use the chinese visitors willing to spend money. Never again

A very nice little hotel with a great location for Hallstatt. You will have to walk a way in the pedestrian zone to get there, so mobility challenged people might consider a different hotel.

Used to be excellent. Looks like a new chef for 2017: classics are now okay but average (kaiserschmarrn used to be legendary). New menu not such a big hit. Probably resting on laurels since it's such a tourist trap.

The hotel faces the lake on the one side and small square on the other. Check-in and check-out were comfortable, staff - super helpful, decent breakfast.. Also during check in we came early so we did not want to wait in hotel. Staff made sure to store baggage so we could go out and then they took baggage to the room (in 4,5 stars hotels you usually have to ask for it if they do it at all. Here they suggested this themselves. Just a nice thing). During checkout they also stored the baggage so we could have extra time for Hallstatt. Interior of the hotel is quite lovely, room was well equipped. Very satisfied

Perfect location in the center of the picturesque village. The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are well appointed. The staff is very friendly and multi-lingual. The included breakfast is buffet-style with many items to choose from. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

The location is absolutely amazing with breath-taking view of the lake. Definitely book a room with lake view, totally worth every penny. The room is with traditional Austrian decor but equipped with every modern utility you can ever imagine, one of our favorite is the Dyson fan heater. Our room has got a huge balcony with unbelievable lake view. The reception staff are polite and helpful. The food in their restaurant is also delicious. We especially love grilled while fish. Make sure you reserve a table early and you will get nice table by the lake. I highly recommend this hotel.

Really great rooms and service. The parking was a bit confusing and the pay machines were broken. Definitely the place to stay!

The location was amazing, sitting at the edge of the lake and only a few buildings down from the ferry drop off. The building is very quaint and there is a restaurant and sauna inside. The room was spacious and the bathroom was very modern and clean. Lovely place in a lovely town. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and both meals were great as well.

A fabulous place, great rooms, great service, perfect location. Ruined by allowing smoking in the lounge

Stunning. Book early so you can get a room facing the lake. We got the Junior Suite which had a huge balcony. A light snack delivered in the late afternoon was a lovely and unexpected surprise. Reception staff were incredibly polite, friendly and helpful. There's a spa area (sauna and steam room) which looked really nice - probably gets more use in winter, but seemed silly to ask for it to be turned on for the lovely weather we had.
