Amazing place! We were three generations and we loved it! The garden is great to have a nice walk, there is also a children playground, a fabulous zoo with multiple places and gadgets for kids and adults to try out stuff. In the Palace itself i have been at least 6-7 times and i will continue visiting. I highly recommend the Imperial tour, 1 hour pf real history lesson, interesting for adults and kids! My 7 years old adores the story about Sisi!!! Next time we will visit the Children museum too!

Visited twice and I think I'm not done yet. Take the time for a Grand tour and see all the rooms and furniture from the past. All of it is preserved well and exibited so you can see everything. Tapestries, carpets, exceptional watches in every room and so much more. You can really get the feeling of what life looked like in the castle. Garden is huge and full of white statues that must catch your eye. A few big basins and a vista from the top of the hill overlooking the castle and a big part of Vienna left me breathless

Amazing experience, a must-see when in Vienna.
But! Be aware that there are a LOT of tourists. The (audio guided) tour through the palace is beautiful, but so SO crowded. After the short tour splits off it gets better, so I recommend the grand tour. Worth it.
After the palace, make sure to walk to the back and check out the gardens and forest. It's free! Awesome views from the top.response / report this review -

First of all orange house have disappointed, it is 1 room 3 by 3 metres Whole complex is impressive in size and amount of things to see and to do. Main palace tour was very interesting and done well with audio guide. Park area behind the palace was beautiful even though leaves started to fall of in autumn. Panoramic view from a top of the hill was astonishing, whole city of Vienna is on the view. Maze and labirinth areas are quite small but are fun to explore. Overall it is a great free place to visit and walk around but for a substantial cost there is much more history and culture to see and be impressed with. It is also vary busy during main hours which can impair the experience.

A Viennese experience not to be missed. Wear appropriate shoes and bring your best camera. I had the opportunity to take the full tour of the Palace and it was certainly worth every second. The ground are extensive and there are quite a number of stairs, hence the wear good shoes comment. On a busy day there will be quite a number of people there, so be ready to stand and shuffle in higher traffic area's, but once inside the different rooms and exhibits it eases up. I don't know why I thought differently, but I was there on a very hot day and the buildings are not air conditioned, so bring water with you, and wear breathable clothing. The hand-held translators are worth the small fee as the explanations are great and give you a lot more information than the plaques that are in German with a few lines in English. You can also download their app which offers the same information, but on your phone and with your own headphones. This is a day long experience, don't cheat yourself out of the full experience with 2-3hrs, you will only get to see a small portion. Bring a good camera, with extra batteries, and get clicking!

A must see ! Nice palace it is interesting to take a tour inside but the most beautiful thing there it is the palace gardens! Absolutely amazing and if you dare to climb up to the top of the hill at the Gloriette you will be rewarded with a great view to the city.

Must see in Vienna. I would recommend the cheaper imperial tour with the audio guide and arriving early before ask the crowds. Sadly right now they seem to have an issue with the wooden floors and insects so the furniture is removed from several rooms while they are treated. No photography allowed which is a shame.

Must visit in Vienna. Historical and world heritage site. Vast and marvelous Gardens, beautiful Palace. Please book a guide to tour the place so that u get to know all details about the place. You can attend a Mozart Music Concert frequently arranged here.

Been there at the Christmas market on winter. Great hot wine selection, fine donuts everywhere. We were lucky and got a free local voice performance. It was cold but heaters were take places, so was just fine. The park was fantastic even in winter.

Schönbrunn Palace is gorgeous itself but the gardens and the surrounding areas are just exquisite.
Roses, fountains, more flowers, statues, courtyards, mazes, and so much more. It's really expansive and you can literally spend a day in the gardens/park. The palace tour gets crowded but when you go outside there is a ton of space and at times I felt like Sam and I were the only ones in this gorgeous place. This is a must see for a Austrian vacation.
One of the best places to take pictures and enjoy a romantic walk.response / report this review
