I studied at many universities all over the world and the studies at Fh. St. Poelten was the worst experience. I got the impression that people there are not professional and they do not care about their work at all. You have to wait for weeks or sometimes months if you simply want to get a reply to your email. If people are out of the office, they even do not have out of office replies. Also, the employees demonstrate zero willingness to help students, they are always in a bad mood and many of them are not polite. You have to keep asking people about everything, sending emails, asking the same questions again and again. And you will get uninformative and sometimes rude replies which will not help you at all.
I attended there a Master's program in Digital Health. The program was very imbalanced: 90% of courses in the first semester was only about video production and software development. It is good to know about it but to spend all your time on the things which you will never be able to do professionally is a waste of time. I especially would like to point the work of the Head of Academic program, Prof. Jakob Doppler. He was one of the main reasons why I left the program after the first semester. His approach to work is emotional and chaotic. He treats students without respect like we are at school and instead of helping students he is trying to exercise his power. It was not possible to communicate with him normally and even to ask study-related questions. He always pointed out that the questions you ask are stupid and he does not understand why you ask them. I think he simply does not like his job and does not like students. I think such people should not work with students. I am glad that I finished my studies there and it is a shame that an educational institution with such an approach exists in Austria.response / report this review -

The FH St. Pölten GmbH offers university education in the Departments Railway Technology and Mobility, Health, Computer Science and Security, Media and Digital Technologies, Media and Business as well as Social Affairs. The combination of subject areas in teaching and research creates space for interdisciplinary scientific knowledge, products and solutions for the economy and society. Around 3,000 students receive practice-related academic training in 22 degree programs and numerous continuing education courses.

Die unterschiedlichsten Teilbereichen der MT sind gut vertreten.

Wer die FH St. Pölten noch nicht kennt sollte das schnell ändern. Das freie Campus Radio auf 94.4 ist dafür z.b. ideal.
