You expect a franchised VW garage to be more expensive than a small local garage but my experience here was much worse than I expected.

To be fair, they did look at my vehicle at short notice when I broke down but that's my only positive experience.
However, somehow they managed to damage the bonnet stay and I only found this out because they had flattened the battery by leaving my radio switched on overnight and when we opened the bonnet to connect the jump leads I couldn't get the stay to locate in the hole.

They quoted me a huge €5,000 fee to carry out the repair when I actually got even more done than they quoted for elsewhere for less than €1,000.
To me the difference is just extortionate and I was extremely shocked.
They quoted me €2,000 for a new DPF which I could get shipped out from home for €500 but it wasn't actually needed anyway. The existing one, although completely blocked, was able to be cleaned.
It took a whole day to clean it but that was only €450 of the eventual cost and not the €2,000 quoted for the new one.
One other part was needed I asked if they'd got one here. They said no but it would be €360. I got one from another local supplier for €37 !!!!

I would definitely recommend seeking out a small local garage before paying such extortionate prices at this VW franchise.

Ich bin im Juli 2017 in Ramsau am Dachstein im Urlaub gewesen und brauchte kurzfristig eine Überprüfung an meinem PKW. Ohne weitere Probleme bzw. Wartezeiten wurde ich sehr freundlich empfangen und mir sehr schnell und gut weiter geholfen, obwohl ich keinen VW, sondern einen Renault fahre. Ich kann den Service daher um jeden Preis weiterempfehlen. Danke nochmals für die schnelle Hilfe!

Sehr guter und schneller Service bei einer Reifenpanne im Skiurlaub.
Ein baugleicher Ersatzreifen für unseren T5 Multivan konnte noch am selben Tag beschafft und montiert werden, obwohl nicht vorrätig. Netterweise hat die Chefin mich samt Skiausrüstung zur Planei Talstation gefahren. Sehr gute telefonische Erreichbarkeit mit Rückruf sowie angemessener Preis für Material und Service - perfekt!

Habe am 19.8.2016 bei VW Erlbacher einen Caddy gekauft. Da ich aus Wien anreiste und nicht wußte ob ich es bis Betriebsschluß schaffen würde, wurde mir angeboten auf mich zu warten. Das Auto befand sich in einem sehr guten Zustand. Die Mitarbeiterin war ganz besonders nett und die gesamte Firma machte einen sehr guten Eindruck. Es wurden sofort blaue Kennzeichen montiert um uns eine Probefahrt zu ermöglichen. Den Preis des Fahrzeuges empfand ich als angemessen. Ich war zuvor noch bei einem anderen Autohändler in Judenburg - kein Vergleich. Ich kann die Firma Erlbacher mit gutem Gewissen empfehlen!
