projektraum viktor bucher was founded by Viktor Bucher as an alternative exhibition space in 1995 on an irregular basis. In the following years, the field of activities led to the launch of a gallery. In 1998 the gallery moved to its present location in Praterstrasse 13.

the gallery's broad program of exhibitions and artists has brought interesting and regionally diverse young practitioners to Vienna - many for the first time.
exhibitions have gained critical success in Austria and internationally, and have helped artists to develop and assert themselves strongly on an international level.
