Very nice Hungarian-Austrian restaurant, decent prices, and good portion sizes. Very friendly staff and quick service. There is very limited seating, so reservations are recommended. Highly recommended is their house special dessert (not telling here more, read photo of place mat describing their history). I am not sure why Google Maps lists this as 'Etterem', though? The place is called Ilona Stueberl (stueberl is Austrian for small room) after one of the founders, who fled Hungary during the Soviet invasion in 1956, and then opened this place to feed fellow refugees. It took off from there with more and more locals visiting this restaurant. To me, it has not lost any of its wonderful charm, and it is SOO rewarding these days to witness that compassion, integration, humanity, and kindness have a much longer reach and greater impact on mankind than racism, blindness, fear, and narrow-mindedness, Donald and friends!

Love the goulash soup here, the best! We were in Vienna for 2 days but went there twice as it was really the best for me! ☺️😊 A Nice friendly waiter which was a plus for the 5 stars I rate.

We tried several dishes and went back two times. Food was excellent, price very reasonable. Try their special bean soup.

Traditional Hungarian food (and drinks), sadly completely trejf. Smells delicious, though. My dad loved this place back in the 70s and 80s and took me here a couple of times. I remember wonderful fish soup.
Nothing seems to have changed, since.

Good Hungarian restaurant. Very filling and large portions. Stuffed cabbage rolls were great, goulash was great; convenient to get to from St Stephen's Church

Healthy and generous Austrian-Hungarian food in a warm atmosphere.
Tip: the place can close very early (10 pm) on quiet evenings.

Very authentic Hungarian dishes. Good portions and good taste. Takes a bit of time but not too bad. Goulash was good but a bit too greasy.

Cute little place! I'm glad we stumbled along this little restaurant off the side of the main street. Prices are reasonable and the food is delicious and comforting. The waiters were nice and the place was busy. I got the beef goulash. It was very good and a good portion. The biscuit like bread they give you as an appetizer is added on the bill but I didn't mind as they were delicious.

The food was very lovely! The place open for Sunday lunch which is great as many restaurants closed at this time. We ordered pork with fried potato and beef with fried onions. They were both very good! The dish was large, enough for two if you are too very hungry. A Small space but with a very warm family atmosphere.
