This is our favourite holiday destination in the world. It is beautifully positioned on a hill over looking Lake Grundlsee. If you have a room with a view of the lake, then it is fascinating to see the variety of cloudscapes that appear hour by hour. Stunningly beautiful. This is also a great place for walking: there are many walks to the neighbouring villages (each about 5km away) and there is a bus back if you don't want to do too much.
The hotel is well decorated and extremely comfortable. The spa area is excellent. We ate in the restaurant one night and the food and the service was excellent and the cost reasonable. The highlight though is the breakfast buffet which is extensive and of such a high quality. Siegrid and Waltraud ensure all needs are met.

The location is just amazing and the rooms are very nice. Many of the services you may have to pay for. A big thing is the WiFi is very slow it has about 2Mbps download speed. A nice place for a stay off one or two nights but not recommended for more than that.

This Mondi-Holiday is strongly recommended, where we stayed for 3 weeks - very kind staffs, well-maintained facility, wonderful environment, etc.
That is one of the best places for vacation - enjoying nature, hiking, relaxing even just by looking at mountain, blue sky, cloud, lake We really enjoyed and had invaluable vacation.

The hotel is in the best spot on the lake, the view is mesmerizing, clouds are very close to the ground here and it has already rained heavily two times while we are here (july 2017), you must know that there's no mini bar in the rooms nor mineral water or any other compliments, you should grab your own stuff with you from the grocery store before getting to the hotel (be vareful, nearly all stores close at 07:30 PM in Grundlsee!)

We were on holidays and went to America and we have booked this place to relax after coming from the hectic tour.
This place solved our purpose immensely.
Spa is outstanding
Indoor pool is superb

Nice place overall, only detail is that the rooms have a lot of windows (great for the view) but the curtains are too small and not darkening, so at night, light from outside lamps gets through directly, and in the early morning is way too luminous

Lovely place, of course you need a car to get around, but really beautiful views. The pool is nice and the parking is free. The restaurant works only from 6 to 9 P.M.
