Excellent museum about the history of the Jewish community in hohenems and the surrounding area. Focuses on history of Jews in the region from 17th century, the affect of the holocaust and it's aftermath.
Really excellent and museum, super informative. I've been to lots of Jewish museums and this is one of my favorite; learned a lot of new things. Doesn't focus to much on general Jewish history and culture and instead discusses the history of the region in particular.
Highly recommend going. Great price. We were there for almost four hours and could have been there longer.
Absolutely amazing place in an area you wouldn't expect it. Astonishingly interesting story about Jews in Hohenems and area They sell Kosher wine and the staff is very kind and helpful. Highly recommend!
Beautiful old house filled with the history of the Jewish Community in Hohenems. Authentic exhibition and empassioned tour guides - a must see.
Ein wunderbarer Ort um etwas über die jüdische Religion und Geschichte zu erfahren.
Ein Ort um Geschichte zu erfahren. Tolle Sonderschauen. Hingehen und niemals vergessen.
We found the museum by chance trying to get to Altach before a football match However with an afternoon to spare, this was an absorbing way to spend a few hours, particularly as we have family which had to leave Austria in the 1930s (from Lockenhaus in Burgenland). The Hohenems Judisches Museum is superbly curated and presented in a way which holds ones interest throughout. it is tragic that the town needs a museum to remind the world of its once thriving Jewish community but this particular museum does it with great dignity and Care.
Interessanter Einblick in die jüdische Geschichte in Hohenems rund um Salomon Sulzer. Empfehlenswert ist ein Rundgang im Judenviertel inkl., Führung.
A wonderful little museum showing why Jews came to the area, how they lived there and why they left. Audio is available in German and English. They also have a little coffee shop with great coffee and Jewish pastries.
