A nice high quality hotel a little away from the city centre but easily reachable by bus No. 4 e.g. from the Bregenz train station. Hotel has all the amenities and very friendly staff.

Rooms are clean. Staff very helpful. Fine dining is excellent. Location slightly disappointing but local buses into town are regular and the town is worth exploring for drinks/eats and shopping. You have to jump on a boat to Lindau, a jewel on Bodensee.

I've been at Hotel Schwärzler for business trips. The hosts are always courteous, friendly and made me feel arrived. After they guided me to a nearby fort / church on a hill, reachable within 30min walking, I visited the wellness complex. They offer a swimming pool, a 90°C Sauna, Biosauna and an Infrarot sauna which are open till 10 p.m. usually longer then in other places I've been. Additionally, there is fresh water available with fruit or vegetable cuts in it and you are able to rest in the relax area, where you can grab an interesting book. The breakfast offers a wide range. Warm recommendation.

Didn't stay here, but I had lunch at the restaurant and it was very good. Regional cuisine with style.
