  Wonderful food, very friendly staff and the most incredible views from the balcony or winter garden! Worth a visit just to see the incredible terrace and sit under the chestnut trees; the atmosphere is truly special and although its almost 80km from home it is a place I'll take all my English guests from now on! Couldn't recommend it highly enough. Thank you hotel Schachner.

  Spent a few days there for a seminar. Breakfast is incredibly rich in options, so is the lunch table, though generally lacking vegetarian dishes. But the service is super courteous, and helpful.

  Did not stay there but can recommend the restaurant especially if the weather is nice. Try to get a table at the terrace. Great view of the river Danube below. Great food especially local. Try the Marillenknödel.
