Nice hotel, my local tour can pick me up downstairs.
Breakfast are quite delicious, warmth is enough. Quite lots of choices.
Nice hotel in the absolute centre of Vienna. Royal style.
Very nice, comfortable, small hotel in a perfect location. Superb staff!
Great location, nice staff and good breakfast.
Close to the city centre. Very nice hotel, authentic style. Isn't cheap, but worth it. The beds aren't that soft, and not that large. So with a softer, higher bed and pillows the experience would have been better.
The hotel was very nice - although quite dated. The air conditioning worked well, which was needed whilst I stayed there! The location is fantastic, very easy access to a major underground station, and the centre of the pedestrian shopping area. Typical Austria breakfast served in one of their two restaurants.
Close to the city centre for shops, subway and restaurants. The rooms are nice and clean. The service is good and the breakfast is very good.
Very good location. A small nice hotel fir short stay.
“Great hotel with history and great service”
This is a great hotel which can look back at a long history dating back to the 11th/12th century. The entrance hall is welcoming and has a gorgeous wall painting depicting the Turkish invasion.
The receptionists are very friendly and helpful and speak multiple languages and will do what they can to help you. Check in is easy and you are directed to your room. The rooms are nice and spacious and clean. The room was equipped with air conditioning and ample space to sit and work.
The beds are comfortable and whilst I would have preferred some more pillows that is a personal preference I would say. The rooms are quiet and well presented. It's a great balance between old and well kept.
The hotel is very central and provides for easy access to the town centre or for walking along the water front.
Great service and location! Near almost every interesting place in Vienna.
Very reasonable prices.
Pros:
- Friendly service.
- Clean, nicely decorated rooms.
- An excellent selection of cheeses at breakfast.
- Great showers.
- Fantastic location.
- Tasty chocolates left on the pillows by housekeeping every day.
Cons:
- The rooms on the 9th floor are directly below a bar which plays loud music in to the early hours.
- A "double" bed is in fact two singles pushed together, each with their own bedsheets.
- No iron in the room, this can be obtained from reception for a 30 minute window.
- Matress is fairly low quality and somewhat uncomfortable. The same can be said of the pillows. (One pillow per bed, fine for me but may not be for others)
- Beds are left unmade by housekeeping.
- No tea or coffee making facilities in rooms.
