The hotel is in a convenient location, very close to a train station directly linked to the airport and just 15 minutes walking from the city centre. The staff was very friendly and nice, going above and beyond. The breakfast buffet was abundant, although on the pricey side. The superior room we got was extremely spacious, almost a mini apartment. However the whole hotel is in dire need of a renovation: the furniture looked as it's never been changed since the '70s (and not in a good, retro way), the carpet had many stains and the general impression was of a hotel which has not seen a major refurbishment in too many decades. A real shame for an otherwise excellent hotel.
Centrally located, walking distance from the main city centre. Decent rooms but no parking on the premises you would need to pay 18€ for 24 hour parking at the nearest garage (They suggest). However if you are looking for cheaper parking, look for a P+R parking facility which is about 4 stops via tram from the hotel it would cost you 5€ per day for parking.
Good clean hotel. People can be helpful. Got a bit of an attitude from the receptionist which is the only qualm I have about my stay here. Also look for P+R services down the street as that only cost €5 per day compared to the €18 next door as suggested by the hotel.
Positive: - Location. It is in a nice neighborhood, it has this special Vienna feeling. It is also in walking distance to the old Town and the main sights. Has good connection to public transport. - Staff. I just met the receptionist at check-in, but they were very helpful. OK: - Room in general. It is not the most modern room, also visually not the most appealing to me at least. The bathroom is very clean, but the furniture is worn down here and there, there are stains on the carpet. The bed is very comfortable. It is very quiet but it is not on the street side. - Fitness. Small but ok. 3 machines, some weights, some mats. Ok for a quick workout. There is a sauna which I haven't used. You need to get your room card validated for the fitness by the receptionist. Room for improvement: There is no bar just a fridge where you can get bottled drinks and snacks. There are quite some bars nearby though.
A very nice hotel in downtown Vienna. I stayed with my family for a week in July 2017. Every day we come back to find our rooms super clean. The front desk people are super friendly. I will certainly come back to this hotel every time I visit Vienna.
This was perfect for a short stay in Vienna. We arrived by train and walked 20 mins to the hotel and then we were close to trams and trains to all the places we wanted to visit. The building is very impressive and the staff are friendly and helpful.
Staff are extremely friendly but the real highlight was our room. Spacious, comfortable and we'll equipped. Even if it wasn't in a good location for exploring Vienna I would be recommending here, the location is just the cherry on the cake.
Reception: 5.5 / 10
• Friendly but not (effectively) helpful: could not get a room on garden side
• The request entered while booking was not passed through (room on quiet side)
• The next day there was another receptionist, with an attitude problem, like a policeman. NOT customer friendly.
Room: 4 / 10 on street side, 7.5 / 10 on garden side
• Interior: simple furniture, not premium feel at all.
• Positive point: rooms are spacious
• Bed duvet had remains of an insect.
• Curtains: too thin, did not darken the room
• Noisy on the street side
Facilities / amenities: 7 / 10
• Nice “Manner” chocolate biscuit as welcome
• NH amenities are nice: bathroom shampoo, shower, etc., selection of drinks & snacks
Breakfast buffet: 8 / 10
• Complete selection, including smoked salmon and hot dishes
Points for improvement:
• Information flow (requests when booking)
• Reception helpfulness
• Sound isolation on street side
Room smelled like actual poop upon entry and lingered for at least a few hours. Did not offer breakfast for us. Extra cot was 30 euros per night, which was not mentioned on the website.
Location was nice, quiet, and cool view from the room. Beds were comfy as hell.
Room is fine. WiFi works and it's clean. Not much else to say.
Well situated, next to the S-Banh and the Belvedere Palace, but a bit far from the metro. Rooms are spacious and clean, the staff is polite and there is plenty of services offered, but you're gonna pay for it. The breakfast is really expansive for what it offers, idem for the shuttle to the airport. Better take the S-banh, wich is a lot less costly (5€ instead of 45€) and take you to the same place.
While the hotel and rooms are very comfortable, it seems wifi speed and reliability are a luxury only afforded to those who pay an additional premium. Thought for owners of NH Belvedere. Loom at customer propensity to purchase wifi add on vs (cost of service x customer satisfaction), you will find charging all customers another €2 will make hotel more money and result in happier customers
Very clean facilities. Good communicated. Good breakfast. The gym and spa are worth. Nice service.
