Great attention to detail, we had an ideal ski experience. The staff is very friendly and helpfull, hotel is clean, rooms new and renovated. Would recomend to anyone!

Wir durften mittlerweile zum dritten Mal zu Gast bei Familie Storch sein und haben uns wiederum sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Räumlichkeiten und der Service sind perfekt, so dass man sich in vollen Zügen erholen kann. Die gute Lage nahe der Liftstation tut Ihr übriges, um einen Winterurlaub zu einem schönen Erlebnis zu machen.

good points:
Excellent and friendly service
Good restaurant (diet restrictions were taken into account very well - also the fact that you have the freedom to go for a 4 course dinner or if you feel to go for a simple one course meal that is also fine. Although I would not recommend to skip the great 4 course dinner!)
Good location (50 m walk to closest ski lift)
Excellent that there are 2 different Wellness areas: one textile sauna and one adult sauna (the latter with magnificent panorama views).
Points to improve:
Price is approximately 15 percent higher than comparative hotels in other Austrian locations booked in the same period (but this we think goes for the whole of Obertauern)
The 3 o clock after ski snack very limited and drinks not included
I am not sure whether I would book this hotel outside winter time as it has no terrace (but this goes for a lot of hotels in ski areas)response / report this review -

The building, our room, the view, access, the parking, entrance, facilities and location is top of class! However, the kitchen seems a bit overwhelmed and stressed, and it reflects on the staff. In general the food was good, varying from not great to excellent. Breakfast was very good. The staff seems stressed and undermanned and it feels like there is pressure from above, something for the management and owners to reflect on. The friendliness is nice but not always genuine, but a very professional and friendly front desk. The bar staff, especially Thomas(?), was very friendly, warm and skilled. All in all we enjoyed our stay, only a few draw backs as mentioned. Very impressed by the state of the building and the modern room (Panorama). Everything worked perfectly.
