Very nice stay in this hotel. The room are comfortable and the place for breakfast offers a view on moutains. Just cross the bridge and you are in the old city

This is one of my favorite hotels in one of my favorite towns in the world. Very clean, stylish, and hip. It would be nice if the US hotels even held a candle to the Holiday Inn in Villach.

Terrible Experience. The staff is rude terrible service. The first night I arrived I was given a parking ticket to enter and exit the garage. The next morning I tried to leave the garage and the lift gate would not open. I could not exit the garage. I was nearly late for work trying to exit. I contacted the front desk person and was told that I need a another ticket for my entire stay. I asked why didn't the person who checked me in give this to me. I never got a response. I went to the bar / restaraunt the next day for lunch. There was only one person in the restaraunt I waited almost 15 minutes before anyone spoke to me and asked if I wanted to order. After ordering it took about 10 mins for the waitress to return. Two days later after recieving a new parking ticket for my stay the parking garage keep my ticket again while trying to exit the garage. I waited about 30 mins to exit the garage. There are no ice machines in the hotel. I called the front desk and asked if there was ice and how could I get some. The night shift guy at the front desk who brought me ice. I thought this was very nice since most of the service was not pleasant. Tonight I needed ice again and called down to the reception. The female at the desk told me that she could not bring ice since she was alone at the counter which I thought was understandable. She told me to come downstairs and go to the bar and pick up the ice. When I went downstairs, I saw two ladies at the front desk. My expression was wow she just told me a blatten lie. I didn't really need her to deliver ice but she didn't have to lie and say she was alone. Both females were joking and having fun at the counter 5 mins after telling me she was alone. I went to the bar and waited patienly for 10 mins before anyone even asked me if I can be helped. When the waitress came to me she asked can I help you. I started to reply with my request when she cut me off talking fast and walked away in German. The ladies next to me said she told me I had to wait. I thought no problem I can wait but I already waited 10 mins. She came back 10 mins later dropped off a drink didn't ask me a thing and walked away. I still didn't get any ice and I didn't even get a chance to order the ice. I just decided to walk away and forget it. This is the worst service I've ever recieved I will never stay here again or any Holiday Inn. I'm planning on filing a formal complaint with the coroporate office as well.

Excellent Hotel in central location. I've stayed there for a conference and enjoyed the hotel as well as the food they served for lunch and dinner.

The rooms were wonderful and the location is great but the stay unfortunately was not comfortable.
When we arrived we asked the lady at the reception if we can get help with our bags, but surprisingly she told us that she was the only one working right now even though it is noon.
And I spent two nights in a hot room, I barely got any sleep. The air conditioning was very poor, and unfortunately it wasn't cold outside as well. We called the reception and ask for help with this but they notified us that there is no air conditioning in the room even though there was a dial, before checking out I found out that the room of one of our companions were cold and indeed the air conditioning was working.
Plus the internet keeps logging out after exceeding 1000MB of data, which made it very hard to backup my trip photos.
To sum up: the rooms are hot, annoying internet and it's understaffed.
